frenemy- The type of “friend” whose words or actions bring you down.(whether you realize it as intentional or not) The type of friend you ought to cut off but don’t cuz…they’re nice… good …you’ve had good times with them. U know…they’re good people that you can count on to bring you down again sometime in the near future.

Lately I’ve come across some instances where friends are in disguise. Not just a disguise, a mask with their eyes blacked out but they still greet you with a smile. Those occasional buddies who may just be in fact the antithesis of everything you are. Those friends that only sashay your way when something bad is happening or those friends that only have negative things to say… and then there are those that bring drama.

Not just any old friend kind of drama tho, the kind that turns your life upside down and spins you in circles. There are many that want to sabotage and influence, others that will lie and steal, and other “crazies” that just want to stir up trouble so they can giggle behind the scenes.

The ones that swear they have good intentions but only bring you down and stress you out. Those aren’t friends. My mom always used to say that if God is going to bless you, you’ll know it when you see it. But God doesn’t come with baggage and he wouldn’t wrap your blessing in the devils clothes. Be mindful of the friends you claim and the company you keep… because most likely they are two different types of folk…
